I served as Executive Design Chair for the non-profit, "Feelin' DNA": a cause predicated on the idea that blind students deserve equal access to a solid STEM education. With this non-profit, I used CAD software to model then print scientific concepts for blind high school students. I brought these models to schools for the blind to teach students about biology in an accessible manner, with the hope of ultimately encouraging more blind people to enter STEM careers.
With every project, I try to vary the textures of each model so they are distinguishable simply through touch. These models were designed in SolidWorks and printed on an Ultimaker.
